Proper training and supervision of all staff members are essential components to the success of the school. Teaching and administrative staff participate in intensive training at the beginning of each school year. This training includes learning about everything from effective classroom management to cutting edge teaching tools to dealing with the emotional lives of the students. Weekly staff meetings provide supervision and the opportunity to work as a team, a hallmark of the Rinah faculty. The entire staff and faculty are under the direction of the principal.
Leah's Story Continued...
If Leah were to remain out of school, it seems clear that her emotional turmoil, coupled with her extended absence from school could easily result in disaster. Most importantly, Leah wants to be in school. She wants to succeed in life, she wants to enrich and continue her connection to Torah and mitzvohs, and she wants to learn how to deal with her emotional and family struggles.
In Rinah, she is able to study in a warm, intellectully challenging mainstream environment. Her principal and teachers are able and willing to provide close and caring relationships. She has opportunities to meaningfully connect to mentors and to receive counseling. She expresses her gratitude to the faculty of Rinah daily. Her mother is unable to pay tuition. Her father has yet to acknowledge that Leah attends school.
