What is the Mission of the school?
The Rinah Torah High School for Girls aims to help Orthodox high school girls who may be struggling with emotional challenges to reach their ultimate potential through a program of inspiring Limudei Kodesh (Jewish Studies), General Studies, and therapeutic services.
What types of issues are covered at The Rinah School.?
We have students who are struggling with abuse recovery, manageable levels of depression, and related disorders including Bipolar disorder.  As well, girls in dysfunctional and emotionally challenged families need a great deal of assistance to rebuild themselves.  We are able to work with these students.
Is the Rinah School a therapeutic facility?
Yes The Rinah School is a Jewish High school with a therapeutic component.
What type of therapy is offered?
Both Group and individual therapy are available.
What is the length of the program?
Four year high school program.  Some students will be prepared for integration back to a traditional school after one year while others will spend their entire high school years at Rinah. The possibility also exists for a student to be partially integrated into a mainstream school, while remaining in Rinah.
What is the Curriculum at Rinah?
Limudei Kodesh (Jewish Studies Curriculum)Chumash (The Five Books of Moses), Neviim (Prophets), Tehillim (Psalms), N'shei Tanach (Women in the Written Torah), Mesilas Yesharim (Path of the Just), Inyunai D'yoma (Living the Jewish Holidays), Jewish History, Torah and Science, Hashkafa (Values and Philosophy of Life), Holocaust Studies, Hebrew Language Skills.
General Studies and Enrichment Curriculum:  Language Arts, Writing Skills, Earth Science, Biology, General Science, World History, Math, Computers, Psychology, Art, Music-Appreciation, Choral & Instrument, Calligraphy, Cooking, Dance, Fitness Program
What is the Daily schedule?
From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, students daven, have Limudei Kodesh and General Studies classes, and have individual and group therapy.  From 3:30-5:00, they take classes in Art, dance, music, cooking, calligraphy, and participate in a fitness program.  At 6:00, they eat their evening meal, followed by the day’s debriefing.  Evening is time for homework and studying and spending time with their mentors.
What is the level of Hashkafa (religious studies and observance)?
Rinah is a school with Bais Yaakov hashkofos.  This means that the halacha as accepted by our Gedolai Hador (Senior Torah Authorities-Roshei Yeshiva) is our guiding light.  Students coming to Rinah would need to want to learn in an environment of spiritual richness.  It is an Orthodox institution.
Do the students wear uniforms?
Yes
How long have you been open?
Opening fall 2007.
Do students receive an accredited high school diploma?
Yes
Is the school academically accredited?
Yes
Does the school offer extra curricular activities?
We have extensive intra and extra curricula activities.
What do students do with their free time?
Entirely free time, as in empty time, is not part of their day.  They can choose from various activities, for their leisure time.
Will we be able to have contact with the staff at the school regarding the progress of our daughter?
Contact between the Parents and the school is an essential component of the school program.
What is the cost of tuition?
$40,000/year
Are Scholarships available?
Yes. They are determined on an individual case by case basis
Will my Insurance cover any part of the costs?
Check with your insurance company. Some of the therapy and boarding accommodations might be covered based on your coverage.
How do I determine if Rinah is the right school for my daughter?

Will my daughter be negatively influenced by other students in the program?
This is a complex question that must be answered on an individual basis.  Included in this issue is-will your daughter negatively influence other students?
Is there support for the parents?
Yes there is extensive support for the parents.
